On Saturday the 01 April due to our canceled trip to Finland we held a local 7s games day. It was a fantastic exercise and was made so by the commitment and positivity of the players to make it a competitive and valuable development exercise.
We had fours team a total of 32 players, with another 15 players not available. This shows great growth in the playing community. Two teams from Estonia development played each other which was effectively an Estonian 7’s trial. There were also two teams from Kalev who played with several new recruits all of whom scored in their first competitive rugby games.
Due to the change of date, there were only 6 girls available on the day but we made the most of it playing 3v3 in 5 min blocks, as the girls found out 3v3 is hard work. It proved to be a very good exercise with our new recruits developing well through the process.
